Facility location problem based on usage and maintenance data

The minimization of facility location costs is widenly met in real-cases assignment problems. The optimal solution of these problems is a popular issue of integer programming and operational research generally. While the target of overtaking the lack of computing power is greatly met thanks to the rising of computer science, the solution of nonlinear expressions that describe large-scaled optimization problems is a major prospect of integer programming and algorithm development. The aim of this study is the location of multitype facilities that cover the demands of clients optimally, linearizing the convex or concave setup and production cost functions. The complexity of the formulation of this triple assignment problem (clients to facilities, facilities to locations and clients to locations) is relaxed by heuristics, calculating the upper and lower bound of the optimal solution in order to reduce the solution duration. Finally, the proposed methodology is implemented in randomly generated data instances in order to rate its overall performance and efficiency.
