Robust technics

Abstract

In this thesis, which count on an overview of robust methods in medical research by Farcomeni and Ventura (2010), we review and outline how robust inferential procedures may routinely be applied in practice in the biomedical research. Numerical illustrations are given for the regression models, logistic regression, showing that robust methods are often more appropriate than standard procedures. In chapter 2 we are going to give a short description for every method for this thesis and in chapter 3 datasets will be described. Moreover, in chapter 4 commands and libraries will be illustrated and follows the analysis in chapter 5 and the conclusion in chapter 6.
