Exploring team cohesion and conflict in entrepreneurial teams during the early venture creation process

Abstract

Η παρούσα έρευνα συμβάλλει στην κατανόηση της δυναμικής της επιχειρηματικής ομάδας κατά τη διαδικασία δημιουργίας νέων επιχειρήσεων. Εστιάζοντας σε ET πρώιμου σταδίου και στις αλληλεπιδράσεις τους εντός μιας θερμοκοιτίδας επιχειρήσεων, η μελέτη προσδιορίζει τους παράγοντες που επηρεάζουν τη δυναμική και τη συνοχή της ομάδας. Τα ευρήματα είναι πολύτιμα για τους επιχειρηματίες, τις θερμοκοιτίδες και τους υπεύθυνους χάραξης πολιτικής για την προώθηση της επιτυχημένης δημιουργίας νέων επιχειρήσεων και την προώθηση της επιχειρηματικότητας ως μοχλού οικονομικής ανάπτυξης.

The dissertation employs a qualitative research approach based on Multiple Case Studies methodology and analyzes a sample of ETs, observed over a period of six years. The research took place in an early-stage incubator that hosted ETs from various industries. In the first stage of this research, the dynamics of ETs are examined during the early stages of the venture creation process, known as nascent entrepreneurship—that is, from the development of a minimum viable product to the first revenues or abandonment of the effort. The second stage of this research aimed at identifying the key types of conflict and provide a guide on how to identify them at different points in the creation process of a new venture.
