Abstract

Η συγκεκριμένη εργασία περιέχει διάφορα θέματα στην θεωρία Δημοπρασιών. Το πρώτο κεφάλαιο είναι μία σύντομη ανασκόπηση σε βασικές έννοιες της Θεωρίας Παιγνίων. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο, εισάγουμε τα Bayesian Games και επεκτείνουμε την ισορροπία κατά Nash στην Bayesian Nash equilibrium. Επίσης, αναφέρεται το παράδειγμα της first-price δημοπρασίας. Στο τελευταίο κεφάλαιο, το οποίο έχει τίτλο "Taste Projection", μελετάμε την συγκεκριμένη έννοια κάτω από διαφορετικές συνθήκες εξάγοντας ανάλογα συμπεράσματα.This thesis is dedicated to the examination of various topics in Auction Theory. The first chapter serves as a comprehensive review of fundamental concepts in Game Theory, and it has been included in this work for the sake of completeness. In the second chapter, we provide a concise overview of Bayesian Games, wherein we extend the definition of Nash equilibrium to Bayesian Nash equilibrium. Furthermore, we present a significant example of a first-price sealed bid auction based on these concepts. The last chapter, titled "Taste Projection," is the focal point of this thesis. Specifically, we conduct an in-depth analysis of taste projection in diverse scenarios and under varying circumstances, culminating in the formulation of correspondingconclusions.
