Abstract

Nisis Travel offers a complete travel solution between Türkiye and the Greek islands. This business plan is inspired by opportunities arising from recent regulations between Türkiye and Greece. Specifically, the Visa on Arrival Program, which was in effect from 2012 to 2019 and relaunched in 2024, allows Turkish citizens visa-free travel to ten Greek islands. This program has significant importance and popularity among Turkish citizens, who face stringent restrictions on getting a Schengen visa. In the Environmental Analysis section, I detail the economic and cultural advantages that the Greek islands offer Turkish citizens. In 2024, approximately 340,000 Turkish citizens visited the northern Aegean islands. The ‘express visa’ make travel easier for Turkish visitors and encouraged trips involving mixed groups, where European citizens of Turkish origin traveled with their Turkish relatives. Over 30,000 European Turks visited the Greek islands in this way while holidaying in Türkiye. (The Greek Herald, 2025) Nisis Travel operates on a seasonal model, leveraging the peak season when the Visa on Arrival program is active. Our business model is structured to maximize efficiency by aligning operational capacity with tourist flow, by that means reducing operational costs and increasing profitability during peak months. In the off-season, Nisis Travel maintains a minimal operational footprint to manage costs effectively while getting ready for the high season. Nisis Travel's primary goal is to provide excellent ferry transport between Türkiye and visa-free Greek islands. Beyond comfortable ferry journeys, we offer a complete holiday solution through services customized to passengers' needs and desires. These include Visa Facilitation Services, Combined Tours, Cultural Tours, and Group Travel Packages. We provide exclusive customer support in Turkish, English, and Greek, available 24/7 to handle all passenger needs. Nisis Travel primarily engages with customers online through our website and mobile app. Passengers can purchase tickets, combine destinations with other islands, add extra services, and manage their bookings online. They can also view our local business partners, including hotels, restaurants, rental solutions, local shops and so on. Our team, as outlined in the Organizational Chart, comprises Director of Operations & Logistics who oversees ferry operations and supplier relationships; a Marketing Director who brings extensive experience in digital marketing; and a Business Development Director dedicated to build strong partnerships within the local tourism chain.
