Εντοπίστηκε ένα σφάλμα στη λειτουργία της ΠΥΞΙΔΑΣ όταν χρησιμοποιείται μέσω του προγράμματος περιήγησης Safari. Μέχρι να αποκατασταθεί το πρόβλημα, προτείνουμε τη χρήση εναλλακτικού browser όπως ο Chrome ή ο Firefox. A bug has been identified in the operation of the PYXIDA platform when accessed via the Safari browser. Until the problem is resolved, we recommend using an alternative browser such as Chrome or Firefox.

    Survival time can be defined broadly as the time to the occurrence of a given event. The statistical analysis of the duration of life has a long history. Survival analysis, deals with statistical methods for analyzing survival data derived from laboratory studies of animals, clinical and epidemiologic studies of humans, and other appropriate applications. In fact, the applications range much more widely, certainly from physics to econometrics.This thesis focuses in applications of survival analysis in marketing and finance. Especially, the thesis studies, the survival analysis for personal loan data , the role of survival analysis in financial distress prediction, the analysis of a new firm survival (in the UK), the customer’s lifetime (in the telecommunications industry) and the rivalry between multinational enterprises (in host country markets). Additionally, thesis gives a brief description of the survival analysis theory that will be used in the applications.The thesis consists of two parts. The first part presents the theoretical methods of survival analysis, and the second part provides the applications and the theory for personal loan data, for financial distress prediction, for a new firm survival, for customer lifetime and for rivalry between multinational enterprises.
