Cost – benefit analysis for the municipal solid waste management sector in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Abstract

The intention of this thesis is to stimulate the interest of the reader on issues related toMunicipal Solid Waste Management (MSWM) with special focus on developingnations and get involved with the methods used for the assessment of non-tradedimpacts a policy or an investment is expected to have. Specifically, a Cost BenefitAnalysis and a Benefit Transfer Methodology have taken place, in order to study thecase of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which constitutes a developing country thatneeds intervention.
